Data Recovery ProEach time it opens, Data Recovery Pro checks for a newer version. It only checks on the start screen, so an update never interrupts a scan.
Installing an update
- Look for the messageWhen an update is available, the app shows “Version … is ready.”
- Click Restart to UpdateThe app downloads the update, checks that it is signed by us, installs it and restarts. On Windows, Windows asks whether to allow the installer to make changes. Click Yes.
If you are in the middle of a scan, you can finish first. If you update anyway, the next scan of that card picks up where it stopped.
If the update doesn't work
On a Mac, download the latest version from the download page and drag it into Applications, replacing the old copy.
On Windows, download the latest Data Recovery Pro Setup.exe from the download page and open it. Setup offers Update. Installing on Windows.
Either way, your saved scans and receipts are kept.
