- Leave the card connectedDon't use it or save anything to it.
- Open Data Recovery Pro againIf it is frozen, close it first. On a Mac, press Option-Command-Esc, choose Data Recovery Pro and click Force Quit. On Windows, press Ctrl-Shift-Esc to open Task Manager, select Data Recovery Pro and click End task. Only one copy runs at a time on Windows, so end a frozen copy before opening it again.
- Scan the same cardThe scan picks up where it stopped, with the files already found. Your computer asks for permission again, as at the start of any scan.
- Check you have the latest versionA fix may already be out. See updating the app.
A crash doesn't change anything on the card, because the app only reads it.
If the scan says “Stopped with an error”
You can still review what it found. Errors are often caused by a loose connection or a failing card reader. Reconnect the card, try another reader if you have one, and scan again.
If it keeps happening, report it. On a Mac, macOS usually offers to send a crash report to Apple. That report doesn't reach us, so please send it to us too.
